FAQs

What should I wear?

We suggest wearing Clothes you feel comfortable working out in like Capris or Long Leggings- NO Shorts, No Sweats, and No Jeans.  Tank tops are great and we suggest bringing a shirt with cap sleeves (many feel more comfortable with sleeves as some of the wraps can rub and irritate the skin under the arms).  No Shoes, No Socks.  However, we do allow the yoga toe socks with the grips underneath. to prevent slippage on the bamboo floor.

What should I bring?

We suggest bringing a towel, bottle of water and a positive attitude.

What should I NOT bring?

Please leave your Jewelry at home, especial any rings with the bling-bling raised (Engagement/Wedding Rings), necklaces, bracelets, and watches.  You can wear your Fitness Tracker, however there are some wraps that may be rather uncomfortable with it on.

Which class(es) is for beginners?

The Best Class to Start off with and are the Beginner Classes are the AG FUNDAMENTALS.  We suggest taking 3-4 AG Fundamentals before moving on to the AG Aerial Yoga, AG Suspension Fitness, and AG AIRbarre.  With the AG Fundamentals, one will learn how to get in/out of the AG Hammock, how to Hold (Grip, Wrap, or Trap) the AG Hammock, and even learn how to invert (go upside down) the very first class.

There are no Pre-Requisites for the Body Firm, Flexibility, BOUNCE, and AG Restorative Yoga.

Can I gain flexibility and/or strength?

Absolutely! One can gain flexibility and strength quickly as you continue with your fitness program.  We suggest taking 3-4 Classes a week, while listening to your body, to see even the littlest improvements from class to class.

Can I lose weight doing these classes?

Yes, Anyone can lose weight and gain lean long muscles as long as they are following a proper nutritional health plan.

Should I eat before class?

Do Not eat a heavy meal right before class. We do suggest eating a meal about an hour before or eat light before class, like yogurt with granola, fruit, etc.  Practicing on an empty stomach is not recommended.

How long and how much are classes?

Our classes are either 60 minutes or 90 minutes, the 60 minute classes are $15 and 90 minute classes are $20.

Is there an age limit?

In our AG Classes, we have a huge age range from 10 years old to 87 years of age.  We do not allow children under the age of 10 to take part in our regular scheduled classes for safety.  For children ages 4-9, we offer Mommy & Me Workshops throughout the year.  All Youth in our Regular Scheduled Classes must be able to Follow Group Instruction.  Children that are not following along with class or causing distractions will be asked to leave without a refund.

Are these classes strictly for woman?

No, our classes are open to anyone that would like to join in. We have and encourage both Men and Women to Hang with Us.

Are the AG Hammocks going to hold me?  Is there a weight limit?

The AG Hammocks are rated to hold well over 1,000lbs at each support point.  They are actually rated to hold the weight of a baby elephant, 3,300lbs.  Our Trusts of our Structure is designed to hold an additional 10,000lbs per row of AG Hammocks. So, Yes the AG Hammock are going to hold you, it will be your Best Dance Partner.

Can I do the AG Classes if I am pregnant?

We suggest speaking with your Physician first before taking part in any AG Classes.  If your Physician says it is okay, please notify the Instructors that you're pregnant as they will be able to give you modifications for any and all Inversions.

Can I do the AG Classes if I suffer from Vertigo?

There is a 1% of population that cannot take part in the AG Classes, however, we do suggest notifying the instructor if you do have vertigo/motion sickness. This allows the instructor to give Modifications for any inversions and/or can stop your swing in any swinging sequences.

I did an AG Class and noticed little red dots on my face.  Is that normal?

There is a 1% of the population that can get some broken capillaries on your face from inverting.  It does go away quickly and it is harmless.  We suggest not staying in inversions too long and coming up from the inversion a little sooner.  Our Head Instructor gets them too from time to time.
